Musings from The Quiet Place – When Amongst Trees

Musings from The Quiet Place

September 21, 2020

When I am amongst trees, my breath is easy, deep, and fulfilling.  If I dare to stay amongst the trees too long, I begin to feel as if I am one with the trees, upper Earth, and inner Earth.  It is impossible to walk amongst the trees, when alone, and not feel the pull, the call, the intelligence, of the trees.  There is more below than there is above.  There is life below, just as there is life above.  That, which they give us above, is but a piece of that, which is below.  They reach up, giving life, sustaining life above, from below.  But we do not go below.  That is, we do not go below, until invited to go, below.  And then, even then, when the invitation given is compelling, do we accept?  Are we willing to travel, to journey below?

It is below where the trees grow in strength, and courage, and rare abilities, well, maybe not so rare for the trees.  We too have the same abilities as the trees, to be willing to hold to our roots, to be strong, to be adventurous, and willing to go beyond what is known, into that which is not known, by many.  We too have the ability to reach up, beyond what is accepted as the limit, to give life, to sustain life, to follow The Sun/The Son.
