As the days pass, and you become immersed in the tasks, and the joys, of each day, remember to set some time away from the material to sit with Me, so a balance is struck and you are at peace, with all that is.

 And The Holy Spirit says:

Glorious days and night reflect balance.  Tend to the material in its time.  Tend to the spiritual in its time.  And by so doing you will dance in the joy of balance and harmony, celebrating your lifetime upon Earth, rejoicing in eternal life, embracing it all, as a gift from God.

There will come a time when you know you are to reach beyond that which is the ordinary to breathe in the glory of the divine.  Do not let that time slip away.  Embrace it and all the grace and blessings enfolded in it.  For, no matter how brief it might be, it will be enough to transport thee to the place where you shall see and know.  There is no need to know all things, but that which you are destined to know, whilst you walk the Earth, you shall see, and you shall understand.  The time of revelation comes to each of thee.  But it is not forced upon thee.  You must choose to use that which I give unto thee at the moment of the giving, and let it be.

 And The Holy Spirit says:

Do not be surprised that God longs to communicate with you.  You are far more precious than you know.  But if you accept the gift, turn your head from the world created by man, and leave the material, for a while, you will come to see and know your value in the light of revelation of God’s love for you and all God created.  In the light you will see.  In the light you will know exactly what you are meant to know, during your lifetime upon Earth.  So, let it be so.

The Twenty Second Day of Advent

This morning, before light, my granddaughter came down to my apartment.  She had walked through the sitting room, and knocked on the bedroom door, simultaneously turning the doorknob.  And there she was.  How she knew it was the fourth Sunday in Advent I do not know, because she is only four years old.  But the first thing she said was, “Gram CeCe, it is time.  We can light all four candles today.”  Her enthusiasm was the only thing that brought me up, and out from under the warm covers, saying,  “Okay, let’s do this.”  I must have told her we would light all four candles in the circle yesterday.  However she knew, she knew.  She was taking a page out of my book, I thought.  So, I reciprocated with, “Let’s do this!”  A page I took from her book.  In the darkness, even before the tree lights were lit, we sat around the Advent wreath, she waiting eagerly, while I struggled with the match box.  Then it was done.  All four candles of Advent were shining brightly.  Before I could say or do anything she blurted out, not in a whisper, but in a statement, “I love you, God.”  I asked her if she was ready to sing.  To my surprise she replied, “No, we are done.”  So, we sat on the sofa, close as close could be.  I realized, in the quiet, that she was correct.  The best thing we could say was, “I love you, God.”  For that statement and belief is what led us throughout the season of Advent.  It was what led Mary, and Elizabeth, Zachariah, and Joseph.  It was faith, hope, trust, belief, and love of God.  And so, we arrive at Christmas Eve.  My heart is filled with quiet anticipation.

On this twenty second day of Advent, 2023, the reading I have chosen is from Micah 5:2.

The Reading

December 24, 2023

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans[a] of Judah, out of you will come for me     one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”  Micah 5:2

In stillness you shall come to know Me.  So, take yourself away from the clanging and the banging, from the shouting and the shrieking.  You will notice as you depart the din of chaos and confusion that the beat of your heart slows, your breath is deeper, your shoulders no longer tight, they lower, and your entire body relaxes.  When you recognize relaxation within your body go deeper still, leaving the world of man, no longer just physically but spiritually, as well.  You will come to a place in which you are comfortable, be it wood, or glen, stream, or mountain.  And when you have reached this quiet place, be still, and sit, and begin the journey within.  The journey within is not taken in flux but in the calm of peace.  The corridors are as velvet and melodious memories of before are as angel songs, leading you to the chamber door.  My child, it is in stillness you shall come to know Me.

 And The Holy Spirit says:

Seek the truth in peace and there you shall find it.

The Twenty First Day of Advent

Thank you for following the season of Advent with me, as just knowing you are there has filled this time with the spirit of hope, trust, and the gift of believing.  You can actually feel it, your participation in Advent.  When I walk down the stairs and enter my little sitting room, the first thing I see is the Advent wreath, with the lights from the tree illuminating it, even in darkness.  The readings have held special meaning for me this year.  And that is important because we have begun a tradition, together.  This is the first season of Advent in my new home, with my son and his family.  It is quite different from The Quiet Place.  It is anything but a quiet place most of the time, but the echo of the laughter of my grandchildren brings joy to my heart.  So, it is appropriate to make a new start, in a new state, in a new town, in a new home where joy and love abound.  The Hand of God has led me from the mountain tops of North Carolina onto the plains of Iowa with so much more to see, with so much more to come to know.

On this twenty first day of Advent, 2023, the reading I have chosen is from Luke 1:46-47.

The Reading

December 23, 2023

“And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord 47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”  Luke 1:46-47

When hours, or days, of quiet stillness, come to you, and they surely will, welcome them with open arms and heart.  For, from this time, allotted you, you will experience peace and joy, which is born within tranquility.  The peace will be full, the joy undefinable.  For, it is in these times when you will be living from the soul, within thee.  The spirit will settle into the calm, and you will know I AM near, without a doubt.  Assign this time the importance worthy of spiritual communication of such depth that its progenitors shall be made known to that which is present, to that which is to come.  You will live either for hours or days, within this holy state.  Do not lift your hands or head to worldly occupation.  In the stillness be, just as you are, be with Me.

 And The Holy Spirit says:

The quiet chorus shall rise up, from within you, accompanying your journey, within.  Nothing, of the world of man, shall invade the sacred space, as you will remember you are the connector between Heaven and Earth.  You will see it as such, as one, and know The Light.  Be still.  Be quiet.  Be.
