Easter and Beyond

What do you say, what do you think, when the dreaded foretold happens, and in that moment it all changes, pieces of a dream, flying into space, rushing from you, into the beyond, leaving you empty, and breathless?  Those feelings must have been the experience of the apostles, disciples, and those who loved Him on that first Easter Day, when it seemed that all there was, was the vacant tomb.  He was gone!  They must have felt fear of what was to come.  Questions such as: How would they continue?  Who would lead them?  Where would they go?  What would they do?  Yesterday we celebrated The Resurrection, but that was not the case thousands of years ago.  There was confusion, chaos, frustration, fear, and doubt, amongst those who knew Him.  We can celebrate because of those who first faced the aftermath of the crucifixion and resurrection.

Out of the time of tremors into The Ascension and then Pentecost the fearful were brought to their feet brave, courageous, strong in the truth, forward moving by the fire of The Holy Spirit, within them.  It was not a one day journey.  They were not instantly transformed.  It was a Pathway into Eternity, and it was at times tedious, slow, arduous, and at other times glorious beyond imagining.  It remains the same for those of us seeking the divine in the midst of the mundane today.  The Pathway into Eternity for each of us can sometimes be tedious, slow, arduous.  But then there are the times when it is glorious beyond all imagining.  This is where we find ourselves today, walking The Way, making the journey Home.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

-Carl Jung

Thank you for observing the Lenten Season with me and thank you for walking this path with me.

The reading I have chosen today is from John 11:25
