Cabins
As many of you may know, Cecilia has joined her family, and the caretaking team from Vistara has been working together to care for and honor The Quiet Place and all those who are to come. We are a team of artists, naturalists, and spiritual servants who hold deep reverence for The Quiet Place. We all have spent many days here in the past with both Cecilia and Michael and many days this past winter and spring helping prepare The Quiet Place for guests once more. We leave these original images of the cabins below here as they contain the history of Cecilia and Michael’s service to this sacred place. Many items were provided from Cecilia’s and Michael’s personal lives and have been carefully and lovingly packed and stored to go back to the family. We have been mindfully replacing pieces to provide comfort and beauty for each guest. Therefore, some cabins may look different. We encourage you to visit our website to see the love and energy we have put into the small changes we have made during the transition. We all have fond memories of the place Cecilia and Michael built and want to keep these images here as part of the history of The Quiet Place.

God’s guests have a choice of three cabins on our sacred ground for personal spiritual retreats.
Personal Spiritual Retreats at The Quiet Place can be scheduled for just one night or multiple nights. The Quiet Place NC, Inc., is a 501(c)3 Public Charity. Our environmentally conscious cabins allow retreat guests to experience a retreat in close proximity to a stream or waterfall, in the midst of God’s creation, while leaving the smallest footprint possible upon the Earth. Cabins do not have running water but are equipped with self-composting toilets. These are high quality, odorless toilets where the end product is peat moss. Each cabin is also equipped with a water dispenser providing water that is either cold or hot enough to make a warm tasty coffee or tea, hot chocolate, or cider.
The main house is open to all guests. It offers a flush toilet and shower facility. Guests are welcome to use the restroom, enjoy playing the piano or perusing the books on the library shelf. Hearty country meals are served to guests in the main house. An assortment of coffees, teas, cider, hot chocolate, fruits, snacks, and breakfast items are provided in each cabin.
